Stratford Residences

Neighborhood

Living in Lincoln Square.

Lincoln Square is the southern doorstep of the Upper West Side, the stretch of Manhattan where Central Park, Lincoln Center, and the Hudson River converge. West 70th Street sits at the heart of it, a tree-lined residential block between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, one block off the Columbus commercial strip and one block west of Central Park.

Almost everything that defines the neighborhood is close enough to walk. The 1/2/3 at 72nd Street, the B/C at Central Park West, the Metropolitan Opera, the Beacon Theatre, the Greenway along the Hudson, all within a ten-minute radius. In summer the rooftop and Central Park do most of the work; in winter the cafes and concert halls take over.

Parks

Central Park & Riverside Park.

Upper West Side block

One block east, Central Park’s 70th Street entry opens onto Sheep Meadow, Strawberry Fields, and the Bethesda Terrace, all within a fifteen-minute walk. Three blocks west, Riverside Park runs along the Hudson, a continuous run and bike path that stretches the length of the Upper West Side. Residents tend to default east in the morning and west in the evening.
